I have my first round of an interview with Deloitte! I’m super stoked but they want me to answer some questions before I chat with the recruiter. All of them are easy and I’m comfy answering them but one is where my preferred location is- I selected that I’m not willing to relocate in my application and am wondering how to say that again without disqualifying myself! I am interviewing for in-house positions where I would be expected to give advice, yet these companies do not seem to have either Westlaw or Lexis. One company told me that it relies on “Google Law.” Is this normal/common? How can I be expected to give competent advice regarding the current state of the law in a jurisdiction where I have never practiced (but where the company maintains an office) if I can’t research the law using up to date tools such as Lexis or Westlaw?

How do I get a job as an HR Generalist in a tech company? I’ve been applying for full remote jobs for tech companies but all I get is daily rejections emails. My current and past HR experience are in aerospace, restaurant group and mobile retailer. Is there anything I can change on my resume that lets them know I can transition well into the tech industry as an HR professional?

Hello UX people, I need your thoughts here. A friend of mine has been in the market for a UX job for over a year. He's very green with only internship experience. Recently, he was interviewing with a company who asked him to do a take home UX case study on their product. He sent it over a couple weeks ago and they ghosted him. It feels incredibly unethical, but I'm wondering if this is standard practice at companies? Thanks!

This question is on behalf of my friend: Her current package is 2.5lpa from a small company (3yrs exp java spring boot) . She got offer from Accenture of 6lpa (fixed) . After this she had interview with cognizant and asked for package of 7 lpa. When she recieved the offer from cognizant it was of 10lpa fixed. Most interesting part after 2 weeks she got revised offer letter from cogni without any discussion of 16lpa with 1L joining bonus. How can we analyse and suggest her regarding offer.

Is committed pay any different from the previous variable pay (that was 10% of the gross salary)? I heard that people would be paid the whole variable amount now, irrespective of performance (amount depending on the no. of months they have worked in Fractal in that FY).
