I’ve been in inside/outside roles 7+ yrs in Real Estate & have led sales/development on large residential developments for luxury new construction & assist buyers, sellers, investors. Now both my kids are in school FT I don’t need flex hours & prefer not to work weekends. I’d like to be in AE role where I can build a career I’m proud of with more stability. But it seems like the only path to be an AE is through the SDR route. Any ideas on companies open to non SaaS work history in Chicagoland?

I worked in QA automation for 2 years in previous company and then 2.5 years in python automation scripting sort of work in current company..yoe is 5.1 and I'm getting all automation testing interviews only. first round is mostly coding which I'm confident about and easily clear it, but never got through second round which is deep into testing techniques.. idk what to do, 40 days np left and the offer in hand isn't satisfactory at all. I have around 4.5 YOE in manual testing. I worked for just 6 months in automation(selenium) out of 4.5 years. While giving interview I said that I have experience in manual and automation both for 4.5 years and cracked around 5 to 6 interviews out of 10.

I am afraid will I be able to work properly when I will join new organization as automation tester? As I have learned online only and don't have much practical exposure. Will I face any difficulties while working?

I had applied for a job in ZS but my application was rejected right away, citing reason that I do not meet the minimum qualification required for the job.
In minimum qualifications, GPA and work permit was mentioned.
I scored 76% in btech and have wp in India, but still rejected.
Did anyone face this issue?
Please help on why it was rejected.
