What is the SF white collar/litigation scene like right now?
I’m an AUSA in another big(ish) city in the 9th circuit and want to move to SF and go back to private practice.
Me: top 25 law school grad, v50 firm for 4 years, 3 years local prosecutor, 3 years criminal AUSA.
My AUSA career is pretty average. Nice variety of cases, 3 trials, but nothing front page, no sexy practice groups, and no promotions on the horizon.

Considering going into Finance Technology roles within big4. I have have >3 years background from deloitte doing Tax Technology. Can anyone speak to these finance technology role &/or give referral?
PS left deloitte about a year ago and have done finance related work for <1 year

Hi Fishes, I'm in a huge dilemma now. Im currently working with TCS and my CCTC is 10.29 LPA and I hold 2 offers, one with with Bank of America for 17.5 LPA Fixed and with CTS for 19 LPA.
My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.
Earlier,before the call I had Bank of america in mind ahead of CTS for its work culture ,hike %, job security and other benefits. But here in TCS also I have very good role, job security and comfort.Please suggest!!

Tax senior with CPA at small firm. Best way to get to Big 4 audit? (LA or OC) Went to non-target so little to no alumni at B4. I don’t mind the switch to a lower title since audit was always my preference and was never a fan of tax (stayed local for family).

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.

I am trying to elevate my knowledge and skillsets in healthcare operations. Outside of learning and understanding insurance. What are other skillsets I need to master? What excel equations should I know that are basic and a couple that are more complex yet of course useful in understanding productivity, identifying waste, whatIf analysis, etc.?

I was hired a few months ago by D to do data science. I am not doing data science currently, is there a way I can switch roles internally? Should I talk to my coach? How can one transition from a Visual/graphic designer in marketing to a product designer? And what’s it like being a product designer w a visual design background? I work at an manufacturing company as a technician. My job title is a technician but they use me as an engineer as-well. There are three techs overall in the company. My boss who hired me understands what my degree is in so he uses me to design parts and write reports. The plant manager doesn’t know my skills so anytime I’m in the office working he calls me to the floor to do something the other techs can do. Should I have a talk with the boss about it?
