It's generally considered the industry standard if you are, or want to get into financial risk management. The content is very good. It's a bit on the quant side (more than CFA, but less than CQF). Passing the exams is possible with a moderate understanding of the subject matter. I used Schweser for part 1 and Bionic Turtle for part 2. I liked BT more, but either would be sufficient. Overall I would recommend it if you're interested in risk management.
Caveat: I passed the exams a few years ago, so my info might be a bit dated.
Thanks for the insight! I really appreciate that. I was considering BT as well
Interviewed with some dbag who couldn’t wait to explain he was a CFA and an FRM. Must carry some weight since he was just bursting to mansplain it to me even though I knew what it was.
