Accounting Exit Opportunities

What kind of questions have you been asked in interviews? I’m being invited back for a second interview for a Sr. Accountant position. The first one was very conversational.

Most are pretty conversational and not beyond the expected interview questions. The people interviewing you are most likely just making sure your not awkward or that you dont seem to be lying on your resume.

I’m thinking this one may be more on the technical side, curious what others have been asked.

I’m finding that a weird side effect of losing my job in this climate is ad agencies taking advantage of my weakened position. They get in touch, proactively or in response to my reaching out, and they want to hire me as they are in good shape. When I reveal I was laid off, the offer changes to freelance or maybe nothing. My work, awards, the fact that they know me and approached me in the first place should be enough. I don’t want to lie about my situation. Any ideas how to avoid this?
