Lots of variables (Firm, HCOL or MCOL, YOE, SM or D, etc.) so it’s a wide range but I would think $200K-250K base with maybe 5-20% bonus
That 200k seems high for a less experienced SM in a MCOL city. But for a D in HCOL, range seems reasonable. That said, I'm not at B4 these days so take that with a grain of salt.
$170k-$230
That data looks kind of strange. For example those audit & tax numbers seem way too high for audit unless the data points are skewed toward VHCOL and/or higher paying tax specialties.
Also I’d guess a large amount of lower paid risk advisory, IT advisory, internal audit, AAS, etc. data points are skewing the numbers down because those are definitely not consulting numbers.
Also the “Non-Big-4” numbers for Consulting & Advisory are definitely off unless this is mostly just looking at smaller accounting firms and not the consulting firms because those numbers should be higher than Big 4

East coast—not NYC.
