If you live in a rural area look into a USDA loan.

Agree with the comment above! Another program that can be helpful is FHA - it’s run by the Federal Housing Administration and allows you to buy a home with a small down payment (3.5% of the price of the home). In addition, a lot of city, county and state governments may have local resources you can check out. (We haven’t expanded to Texas yet but I’m originally from Houston and will take a look to see what local programs stand out!)

Good morning women in tech! 💜 I’ve been on Fishbowl for around a week now and I’ve learnt so many great things from the community. It would be amazing to understand:

💜 If you could give one piece of advice to women in tech, what would it be?

💜 What’s the best thing you’ve learnt from women in tech?

Happy Friday all!!

I have liked some guy for a while and we have gone on dates and hooked up on and off for three years now. However, I haven’t seen him in a year, but he recently asked me out for coffee. I’m not sure I want to grab coffee because I feel like it should be something special (dinner etc) and I don’t want to be friend-zoned. Am I just overthinking things??? Lol

I recently closed on a home and felt like I had to claw for 10% of my downpayment - didn't do 20. Do you think it was a mistake to not do 20? It just seems impossible as a teacher.
