The one you just made up in your head because that doesn’t exist

All advisory groups pay more than audit, so depends on what you consider “good pay”. WLB is very project/client dependent. You can have great WLB for a couple months on a good project or hate your WLB for months on a bad project, it’s very volatile. As for Full wfh options and low travel, I would assume all the big 4 for the most part aren’t forcing majority people to travel or come into the office if the client is demanding it, so you could find something that fits that now, but I wouldn’t bank on that being the norm in the long term. Advisory has always been on average the most travel and client facing jobs, I don’t think that will change in the long term. TBH, I agree with what was commented above, what you are describing is more of a fantasy than reality. FYI, beware of people painting you a perfect picture of a practice/or firm that will offer all you want, they’re most likely just trying to use you to get a quick referral bonus, and rarely will have your best interest at heart.
We do D&A work, on the advisory scale. WLb is good, because you can police that easily yourself and people with audit background are in demand. Just have to be interested in developing technical skills.
We rarely go to the client, because in 99% of the cases the Engagement Team is the client for us.
It used to be a 99% office job, now with hybrid we're expecting it will stay hybrid 1 maybe 2 days in office
Not in the referral business, though, just have to find sonething yourself!
K2 do you have a salary range ?
Chief
Accounting Advisory at KPMG, DM me for referral
CMAAS & FDD probably won’t travel that much. FDD you’d typically get the data from the client & then be on-site for a day to run thru your questions, it’s a LOT easier to tackle 3 projects at a time all remote vs hitting 3 different airports in 3 different cities in a week.
All the other advisory arms that are much closer to Bain/McK consulting (Restructuring, PEPI, etc) you’re gonna be traveling at least every other week or so. You’ll get paid appropriately but that goes against the WLB you’re considering
B4 Internal Audit - pays well since it's consulting/advisory ($90k in HCOL as a newly promoted first year Senior), GREAT work life balance (I never work more than 40 in non busy season, 45 in busy season), zero travel in my 3 years, fully WFH for the foreseeable future (at my firm at least), easy transfer from audit (pays much better too). Many folks in PA look down on internal audit work/projects for being boring (SOX, controls testing, risk assessments, etc), but we don't work past 5/6pm and get paid very well all the same. I've actually just recently helped a couple of folks change from audit/tax to IA in my own firm, DM me if you have any questions!
Can you DM me please? I’m new here and cannot DM you
