What was your first HR job, and what is your current HR job?

Base is at 180k, after tax, insurance , 401k and ESPP (max out), my bi-weekly pay is only like 3600 (like 8000 monthly). Can people really save this kind of money, or most people rely on their stock appreciation?

When negotiating salary and being asked if you currently get a bonus, would you "lie" if it helps you to get paid more? Is this considered taboo and is there any way a potential employer could find out if you weren't truthful about your current salary/bonuses? I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

I know everyone will have different answers for this but how did you know it was time to get sober?
