What would be successful strategy to negotiate a higher role level ( eg senior tech arch / sr. Manager ) after clearing all interview rounds at sales force for technical architect role ? Is it even possible if yes how ?

Have the required experience level

They will down-level for sure. It's probably too late if that is the Tech Arch role. Even if you're qualified, you will get stiffed.

Get them in writing to get promoted in X months because you are overqualified for current role etc. But you will be playing hardball at that point

They wont give in writing.
Unless you are super keen
Promotion are literally impossible these days

I tried to get up-leveled after my interview. After 6 weeks of back and forth with the recruiter without a hard “no” but also without any progress I gave up and settled for the original level, but with max RSUs for that level.

Definitely an employer’s market at the moment.

salesforce doesnt seem to give much in RSUs compared to FAANG. max for my level is about $80k over 4 years. not sure about other levels.

Also in terms of seniority and salary are these roles any different?

What does an exit from Salesforce consulting look like? I’m in a technical role leading a small team so my understanding is a technical/solution architect or a development team lead at either Salesforce or an end user like Amazon/Amex.

I have bounced around a couple consulting companies so would prefer not to do it again. Total 4 YOE.

I don’t think I have enough YOE to go for a program architect role at SF otherwise I’d be interested.
