Sautee in olive oil then add garlic & 1 roughly cut Roma tomato (less acidic). Sautee until garlic cloves are soft. Add cilantro & sautee for 1 min. Blend the mixture in a blender until it’s slightly chunky & voila you have Harrissa. Refrigerate & use as a tasty condiment on anything you eat.

That sounds awesome. But last time I tried to sauté a pepper it was a Scotch bonnet. Went fine for a couple min until the capsaicin in the air hit me like a full can of pepper spray. Rough 20 minutes 😂 be careful, not sure what I did wrong there

i’ve made habanero bitters for drinks. just chop up a few and soak them in mezcal (or other liquor - i like mezcal because it’s smoked) for about a week. then strain out the pieces of habanero and pour the liquid into an eye dropper or other glass bottle through a funnel. nice to have on hand for spicy margaritas or anything else. unlike eating a raw habanero, the heat from the bitters doesn’t linger - it just hits up front and disappears, so it’s very drinkable.
