It seems like every post and job these days are for software developers. I have been working on my AWS certification. Are people like me already obsolete?

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired.
