Using your post structure, OP, and talking specifically to Advisory and averages - there are outliers to these.
C 2 years
SC 3-4 years
M 3-5 years
SM 6-8 years
ED or Partner/Principal - both are destination; you do one or the other. partner and Principal are exactly the same; the only distinction is CPA.
No speciality, ie destination, track at the moment, but that will be changing soon.
That’s correct sc1. Most end up as ED or PP. occasionally you see an ED become PP
Yep what EY3 said.
Staff - 2 years (St1, St2) (Now a days we are also seeing St3)
Senior Consultant - 3 years (SC1, SC2, SC3) (SC4 are normal now a days. I have also seen SC7)
Manager - 3 years (M1, M2, M3) (M4 are very normal in many practices)
Senior Manager - No limit
Partner.
So is this correct, St1 = Staff 1, St2 = Staff? Does S3 = Senior 1 or is it S1 = Senior 1?
S1 = Senior 1 (you may also see “SC1”)
S3 would be Senior 3
Not correct EY2. It sounds like OP is referencing grade bands in his post. Technically EY looks at things HR wise as staff 1 = S1, staff 2 = S2, Senior 1 = S3, etc. until manager which then flips to M1. In non HR terms it’s just senior 1
P1 - differences between ED and PP? Are you staying that the path is not ED to PP?
@EY3 - my understanding of the post was that OP was asking how to interpret “S3" if they see it in a post. For example, the comp thread. If someone references their salary at “S3” level, I would fully expect that to be a Senior 3 - not a Senior 1
