What's the generally accepted standard for holiday parties - spouses invited or not?

My firm's local office holiday party will be at an arcade, no spouses. Is it just me, or is this weird on several levels?

Aside from all the usual benefits like paid vacation time, health insurance, 401k matching program, have you ever seen a truly unique business perk?

I have an offer for a company abroad. Originally they wanted me to fly out and start the day after Thanksgiving (not celebrated in their country), but because of the holidays I suggested starting in either December or January with the ability to take some holiday days in December to fly back home for Christmas. They then proposed starting out remotely “as soon as possible” in the US as a contractor and then moving abroad to start full time abroad. (Cont)

I’m in a little of a pickle but a good one. Offer A. Established “start up” doing well financially and projected to hit profitability. 130k base. Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. Titles are different which is why the pay is much different. I know some may think it is a no brainer but offer A allows me to grow the department ground up whereas offer B id be apart of to just different

How is RSM PTO? Understand it’s unlimited, which limits more than accrued, but any insight on what you like/dislike?

I have a phone screen with American Express. Does anyone know how many days of PTO is allotted?

If you were in a private company assistant controller position being offered $10k more to switch over to public and much better PTO days and fully remote as opposed to an in office position that I’m currently at in a Real estate growing company. Ok, so how bad are the side effects from IVF stim injections and the aftermath from retrieval? Thinking to use some sick or vacation days for the worst times but not sure how many and when.
