Pass the airplane test. In every interview I've conducted I ask "if I was stuck next to this person on the tarmac for 3 hours, could I stand to be around them?" In other words, find ways for your personality to shine through. We work way too much to not enjoy being around our colleagues.
Be cool. Know what you're talking about.
Yes to the ✈️ test. If you scored an interview, they already know you're qualified for the job. Now you need to prove that you're not a psychopath.
The key to success is sincerity. If you can fake that, you have it made. Hahahaha.
Lead with any unique qualities you have to bring to make their job easier or make them look good. It's a two way street. Ask smart questions to decide if you even want to be there. Also notice how employees interact with each other.
Zuckerberg says his test is something like: 'in an alternate reality, could I work for this person?', which i like because it's part airplane test and part be a winner.
Show its your fucking life long dream to work there.
Be authentic and real. The real you is going to come out quickly anyway. In advertising, teams are looking for a culture fit as much as your skill set. And do your research, but don't look like a crazy stalker. I had one interviewee tell me all the things she could learn from me from every former position I had. Too much.
