Anyone know much about the start up scene in E Africa? I hear a lot of general talk about how it’s ‘booming’ but can’t find much information online. I’m in a weird position where I’m trying to switch into tech but am moving to Kampala for the next year. I am applying now to remote jobs in the U.S. but would love to connect with companies operating in the region.

How long should I wait between followups? Had a really good interview and sent my thank yous, but it’s been about a week.

Im interested in applying for the Barclays technology analyst summer internship role. However, the fear of being rejected is impeding me to actually go for it. I would really appreciate if someone from a similar role can have a look at my resume. It would be great if you could provide me with a referral too. Completely understand if that’s not in the scope :) any means of help is appreciated!

What is the protocol with talking with recruiters? I'm not pre se looking to move right now but if something with more money and flexibility regarding location opens up then I'm not opposed.

I had given first technical round of interview in Mastercard for senior software engineer(it went well).
I have 7+ years of experience in java technology stack.
I am currently holding offers from the companies like TCS,Deloitte, Xoriant and ibm.
Maximum offer i have is of 23 LPA.
Can anyone one suggest how much Mastercard will offer for senior software engineer position ?

If you’re in the final stages of interviewing with multiple companies at the same time and they inquire about other offers and interviews, should you tell them? Obviously not who the other company is but at least that you’re interviewing / expecting another offer?

Does KPMG send you a rejection email? Did my last round last week Friday and haven’t heard back. Followed up with the recruiter and she said she’s following up with the team

On their application they've said they're accepting only upto 60 days notice period candidates. But I'm having 90 days notice period, if I tell them about this 90 days notice period now in HR round will they understand my situation and select me?

Advice needed!
I have been a strategy and planning associate for a year and a half (first job out of college), I found that I'm not really cut out for this sector of advertising and would like to get more into the creative area. I've applied to countless copywriting jobs but only get rejections. Does anyone have any advice? Are there other areas I should be looking? I'm getting so discouraged at this point so any feedback would be helpful.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .

What’s the best way to blindly reach out for a job? My dream agency is one of those ones that never seems to actually post job ops. No real connections yet, either.
