We’re fine. If you are in federal then it’s all the same. Take the money.

Started within last year, onboarding was bad and they weren’t very good at “guiding” the new folks through their systems. Benefits are industry standard, wouldn’t say they’re horrible, and there are some good parts like unlimited discretionary time off (also a curse, too, if you don’t have a supportive manager). HSA matches you $29/pay period and 401k is 3% matching. Bonus structure depends on your utilization and performance.

Depends on your segment, work can be very interesting or your just staff aug.

If you have TS/SCI, you can negotiate higher. SC with 6+ YOE and TS/SCI can get at least 125, probably more if you offer some specialized skill sets.

Wide range. Depends on level. I think at senior level it can go up to 25%.

I’ve found GH’s benefits worse than KPMG’s. Health and retirement are the two majors.

Any internal admin process is usually slightly jacked because they’re still so new, so there tends to be way more paperwork. I also think GH is behind KPMG with ways to track and utilize resources. ie KPMG uses Retain, GH is JUST getting a similar system.

And last but not least, I think there is less career development here. Sure there’s tons of trainings for certs available, but I got real time feedback about how to grow and improve way more often at KPMG. I don’t feel like this management is as interested in helping to develop you. (This could be just my personal experience! I’m sure there are people that don’t feel this way about GH).

In all honesty, unless you’re stuck not getting promoted at KPMG, I would probably stay for now. Maybe consider it again in a year or two after the company has matured that much more.

Sadly I’ve heard this complaint from a few people, but I’m honestly hoping that’s not the experience in all cases 😬.

I enjoy it, but I work on a defense client so things are different in each sector. I will agree after two years of being with the company the job architecture and career pathways are finally becoming clear now. Benefits are light.

like

Can you elaborate more on the career pathways part. Do you mean there isn’t much support for promotion to the next level?
