Hello Mastercard employees. I have been trying to break into MC for long now.
I have 2 yrs workex post MBA. I have experience in data analysis and consulting. But I don't want to get into consulting anymore. I am looking for analytics roles. Anyone here would be able to DM and guide me on the available options at Mastercard?

I’ll give it to you straight - they’re one of advertising’s most difficult clients.
They can be demanding, disorganized and lack creative ambition.
I can only speak to what I’ve heard, and what C1 posted is the gist I got. Can’t speak to “creative ambition” part, but I’ve heard a few creatives say how difficult they were to work with.
I once asked the person interviewing me what their favorite part about working for Verizon was, their response was there was free manicures every thursday, which was convenient because she never got to leave early enough to go to the salon. My nails and I ran.
I didn’t and now I feel bad
Run. Run as fast as you can.
I have never heard a single Account person say that they enjoy working on that account. I have heard Account people say they’re on the verge of a nervous breakdown working on that account.
Wireless in general is rough. Verizon and TMO are both notoriously fast paced and hard ti sell decent work into
Omg this is insightful
I worked for both Samsung and Verizon accounts at different points in my career. They were not bad. The Samsung calls could be lengthy if you worked with an overseas office and they needed translations. Samsung US office client was fine to work with.
I worked in healthcare now. Pharma clients are much much worse. The work is demanding because they lose so much money if they launch drugs late, lots of late nights and weekend work near launch, and the clients are not very marketing/design savvy.
Amazing experience but be prepared to not sleep and spend more time working than at home
They were always a tough brand. Do know people who built their careers on the quantity of work they produced for them, though.
Interestingly, their in-house agency (previously named 140) was a pretty solid shop to work for and well-managed.
“Well managed” is pushing it. Political as hell. Didn’t know it’s no longer 140.
