What's your best advice for someone trying to ace the interview? Curious what makes you want to hire someone, or what makes someone stand out to you. For me, it's when a candidate asks questions related to our conversation instead of generic ones.

CitiusTech - 25 LPA- 2 days WFO in my hometown

R Systems - 28 LPA - Remote

YOE - 6.5 years

Looking for stability, decent WLB and good growth opportunity. Difference of 1-2 lacs doesn't matter too much.

These are the final options I have. No more interviews/offers lines up.

Context: Graduated in 2019 (Finance), 2 years at EY as a business consultant on mix of pmo projects and tech projects where I was developer (data vis, power platform, sql, vba, data analysis etc.). Joined Google on a 6 month contract as a data analyst.

Should I be applying for product analyst roles? Should I apply for strategy consulting? Could I go straight for prod mgmt roles?

I am looking at other government jobs.
1. When I fill out my job experience, do I need to include the last ten years or every job I’ve had? I don’t have anything to hide, but I especially in my late teen years I was a job hopper.
2. I have worked seasonally in retail to make ends meet. Do I need to put this on my work experience when applying?

Can you use excel during the interviews to do calculations? Figured if it would be virtual it would be easier to do so.

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? I recently had an interview with a very promising pre-IPO company in the AI/ML space for a SE leadership position. The interview feedback was better than I expected, but with a twist. They have already given the offer to someone else, but they still want to bring me on board and they asked me what I would like to do. I am in the process of gathering more info, but it is tempting to ask about pivoting into product management. What would you do in this situation?

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report? Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?
