Gold Coast/Streeterville
15% pretax, Boston
NYC, 20% pretax
DC, 26% wife and I combined pretax (she's not consulting)

19% post tax - Chicago
~15% LA, post MBA and living in one bedroom with my fiancée, so still a decent sized place ($2700 a month between the two of us, I pay a large percentage though). Would go bigger but have a lot of school debt.
Jamaica Plain (Boston). Live with spouse. Lots of comparatively affordable options if you're willing to leave back bay/south end/beacon hill/seaport
Atlanta - 21% pretax
CLT. Before tax - 18%. Take home, 30%
Boston - 23% pre-tax

25% pre tax off of my base; 15% pre tax with the wife's salary built in. Boston
DC, post-tax 16% (sharing apt with bf, otherwise would be 30%)
17.5% post tax and deduction in queens NY. 1000 sq feet, but we rent our living room.... And no one is ever home anyway
28% pre - NYC
23% pre tax. Boston
