When did you guys receive your signing bonus?

Would you tell your supervising partner at a biglaw firm that you are disappointed by the amount paid to you in the year-end bonus? If so, what's the likelihood that doing so would result in any further pay/anything good?

When negotiating, how much above minimum salary would you ask for? I don’t want them to rule me out altogether, but also don’t want to sell myself short.

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

Weekend Shift Differential- I’m trying to get market data on shift differential pay for weekend work in the IT department. I wasn’t able to find any recent articles for the private sector. Our comp data vendor won’t have pay practices on this until next March. I’m curious on what companies are paying for the differential and the methodology in determining the rate or % of salary.

I revised my CTC from JPMC before joining. Now in 1-1 discussion my manager told very nice things about me but also told me that my CTC is already above market standards for my experience and tech stack. Here are my observations about the skills and experiences that PMs have and how people are joining that group.

They are all technical. All of them could easily be very technical cloud consultants or cloud engineers.
Tl/Dr. If you couldn't get hired as a cloud engineer or cloud consultant - you probably can't become a PM
