When did you join? Your match doesn't start until the June or Jan after your join. Full vesting occurs after 2 years of service

like

Hmm so why isn't that reflected in my account? All I have are my contributions

^do analyst not get the 6% match?

like

How long have you been at ACN? They don't match for the first year, and then only start matching Jan 1 or July 1 after your first year. I'm waiting for July 1 for matching to start from a Feb 2016 start date.

like

I started May 2016. So in July I should expect the match?

like

Is there a vesting period of some sort?

Yup, wait til your July paycheck

Vesting is immediate. Just the first year you have no match. 6% still a lot.

Thoughts on life insurance? My boyfriends brother started at Northwestern. I wasn’t buying into it at first. They played it up & I fell for it but now I’m contemplating it. I have a whole life & a term life, which totals $1M, costs $230/month. I have a 401k, Roth 401k, my own investments, I receive stock yearly from my company & purchase it quarterly at a discount. I have a finance degree, I’m good with my money, I budget, frugal & very in-tune with my finances. I’m just not sure if I need it.

Advice needed! Have just been asked to Freelance with W2 form. Without any benefits. Is this even possible? Would I lose my eligibility for Unemployment insurance once the gig ends? I was laid off from my full time agency job 2 months ago and have already freelanced as self employed on an LLC since. Seems like they’re being tight and taking advantage of the current climate.

Ideally, I would transition to a job that I love, but I’m not sure what that is yet. Cont. below.
