I had a reason to do that once, but I thought it wasn't a good idea. It's one of those things where it's possible the negativity could reflect on me. It's generally better to focus on positive aspects of what you can do, not bring up problematic situations.
I don't think it's worth it. When you say something like that, the interviewer is only going to hear how you could potentially talk about them one day. So I don't think you need to explain your feelings about the last place. I would just say confidently that it wasn't the right fit or your values didnt' align or something
I wouldn’t say something like that during the hiring process for fear they may think I’ll feel the same about them. I'd only say I felt I accomplished all I could in my prior position and decided to look for a position where I could pursue my career goals more fully or what excites me about the new role.
I definitely did. I was coming from a corporate Fortune 100 monster and I needed them to know that I wanted no part of another toxic/abusive environment.
