When on the bench, do you stay online all day?

How do people typically find out what projects are available (no resourcing manager)? Do people ever ask to be on specific projects and how does leadership determine which creatives are on what? How do you ask to be rolled off certain projects without ruining your reputation?

16k away from platinum on delta. smaller hub but unsure whether will fly delta for next project. on bench until idk when. worth trying to take massive mileage run?
