Where can I find reasonable work/life balance in cyber? I love the work, but want to focus more attention on family/friends.

Background is IR and strategy, ~8 YoE, CISSP. I generally interview well for manager and senior manager level positions.

Anyone who has done evening/weekend MBA from Kellogg’s Chicago… would like to know how taxing was the schedule and how it helped in career.

I have an offer from Gartner for PPR team- Principal. Can anyone help me with the team feedback, annual hikes at Gartner. I heard culture and wlb is good, but hikes are lower than 10%. Is that true?

I have got an offer for Manager level at a Big 4 in Consulting. People who are 3-4 years juniors at my MBA college are at Manager level and might get promoted sooner than me. Also, a couple of immediate juniors are at Senior Manager level.

Have you been in a similar situation? Is it awkard? How to handle it after joining?

PS: If you are wondering, I do not have a Big 4 or consulting experience while they have it.

After nearly 20 years in the military serving in T&E and HR roles, I’m considering moving on and have been conducting lots of research into consulting. BS, MA, and SPHR cert - no MBA. I’m looking for suggestions or advise about transitioning. DC Metro area is likely landing spot.

As someone who is interested in public interest law (open to impact litigation or policy work), does it make sense to clerk in state court -- trial level -- and if so, for how long?
