Consulting if you like lots of variety to gain experience, also your career accelerates at a faster pace. Industry if you need to coast and focus on home life. Tech employer if you want to maximize income, but it’s very competitive to move up, required consulting like hours in my experience. Sales is an area I haven’t worked and I’m looking at. I’m starting to think sales might be my work around if I don’t want to manage people but increase income. I’m at a what’s next phase too.

Once you’re in Consulting your never out !
I’m finding it hard to choose a niche/industry job while maintaining current consulting salary (and with the same growth potential). Sometimes I see people making $200k doing remote work for Salesforce or something similar, and I know it’s something I could figure out and learn, but I never get the chance to do something like that on my projects so it’s like I’m not gaining any valuable resume experience. I just want to find something that’s guaranteed remote forever and can get me $200k+ as I keep progressing my career. Sometimes I feel like I should go back to IAM/PAM work bc at least then I knew what my “thing” was
Yep, either got to stay generalist or choose a niche and go to industry
