Hi, I am currently making a lateral move from a B4 Real Estate Tax group to another B4 RE Tax group. The current offers are for both Chicago office. The first offer came from PwC RE Tax at 105K base with 15K Bonus. Deloitte BTS with 40% of the work also being RE (already knowing PwC offer) offerer is100k base plus 15k sign on bonus. I tried to negotiate the bonus with Deloitte, but recruitment replied immediately no final offer, meanwhile PwC has raised the sign on to 24k bonus. Wwyd?

McKinsey/BCG and Bain (though not as much as the first 2). Also several T2/boutiques, including but not limited to, LEK, EY-P, Clearview, ZS Associates, Trinity, Putnam, IQVIA. Deloitte, Accenture, pwC/S& Life sciences hire PhD/postdocs as well, but its more limited.

McKinsey and BCG both have strong presence in life sciences and sure they’ll value the PhD experience.
As others have mentioned - many other strong life sciences focused shops such as LEK, ZS etc.

Starting soon at a boutique firm as a recent PhD graduate. I applied to LEK, Health Advances, Trinity, ZS, Clearview and got interviews/offers for a couple. I feel during interview process my experience as a PhD was valuable, not directly from my specific research but more about my ability to talk about science and think about the big picture.
PhDs in general highly valued in LS. My experience is that postdocs aren't as well understood by consulting firms, and probably won't translate to coming in above a newly graduated PhD. Think through what transferable skills you gained from your postdoc that you didn't get from your PhD, and be prepared to really sell it on the interview.
I didn't get hired at a higher level, but was able to sell my experience to be up for an early promotion. I think you have to have a good understanding of which skills translate and sell it hard
I went through the recruiting cycle this past year as a PhD student - not sure what your timeline is, but definitely apply for the short summer programs (e.g., Bain ADvantage, McKinsey Insight, Bridge to BCG, Link to LEK, connect to clearview). Unfortunately the applications for these are closed for the year but I highly recommend applying in 2023
Genetic Engineer 1 more or less ran the gambit of all top LS firms. Maybe add HA/TDG if you’re feeling a little more inclusive
Health advances for sure. They do interesting work for a small boutique
In addition to the ones already mentioned, Beghou Consulting hires and values PhDs/post-docs!
