I can't speak for experiences at Deloitte, but I have been floored by how much face-time I am able to get with partners/leadership and how much they are personally invested in my growth, here at PwC/S&, even though I am just an associate. Everyone on my projects have been so excited to see me grow and develop my skills and set up recurring calls with me to that end (even directors and partners that are incredibly busy and I would think have "better things to do")
That’s amazing! I struggle at Deloitte to get time with the Sr Mgr, let alone partners or MDs. They seem like a group of entitled folks who have no time for junior folks
Overall that last part will reign true for you in any job and at either Deloitte or PwC. So far, I’ve seen PwC not have such rigid rules regarding promo timelines compared to Deloitte.
I would rather be a partner at Deloitte, but I would rather be staff at PwC.
PwC is "nicer" but Deloitte is "better" if that makes sense?
P2, not sure if that logic actually flows through to partner comp. I’ve heard PwC partnership is highest paid in B4
Does this mean Deloitte is the way to go if the goal is a few years of consulting experience and exiting back to industry thereafter 🤔
Happy to help refer people to Deloitte!
