Which hobbies or fun facts do you share at work?

I have to prepare a summary/profile slide to introduce myself to a new senior leader. One section is on hobbies/fun facts and I am wondering what kinds of things to include or avoid. 😊

I try to avoid stereotypical feminine activities (eg baking or poetry) and try to include gender neutral things like hiking, swimming and travel

Good fun facts I’ve seen: number of states/countries you’ve gone to, cool celebrities you’ve met

I keep it G rated and boring. But that's because my hobbies are only G or...... very x. 🙃

I tell them I collect purses.
I do NOT tell them I tie people up and wear leather.

I'm really into making sourdough these days so I share some of my loaves and the bagels I make :) Normally it makes everyone just ask me to bring bagels into work haha so that's a fun way to break the ice with new colleagues

My slide was literally - I work this job and I’m a parent. I have no time for hobbies.

I often put what neighborhood I live in the city because people have introduced me to people on other teams that live in that part of town and when we are working remotely we can meet for lunch or to work together (if I like them and we become work friends).

Pets are a fun one too. If you speak any languages or have lived in other countries.

My boss in my creative agency threatened to fire me because I, a male, came into work with my nails painted. HR is having a very complicated day today as I found out I could take legal action if he does fire me since we don't have an established dress code that has any guidelines against male nail polish wearing.

So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise. I know he was the provider of the household and his wife didn't have a job since she was raising three young ones. Needless to say, I had to take off because I felt terrible, sick to my stomach. How do you deal with firing guilt? Is that a thing? I can't help but feeling like I did something wrong.

Since you all are wise, I have a question, not really a confession though…but I will add a confession at the end..

If you submit to a specific role at a large company and they reject you for the role you applied, would you still be on file if there are other roles that are a match? Or, do you have to apply to each role? I am thinking it is the latter.

Confession question…how often do you stalk exes or people you used to work with? Like someone will come to mind and I will immediately (cont)

How do you deal with making mistakes at work? I’ve been doing good work lately but there’s one partner who thinks I’m mistake prone and I just made a mistake on something he asked me to do, but I corrected it quickly. However, there is public record of my mistake.

Hi. People Manager here. I've been one for 12 years now and I encourage my team to not be "yes" people. At this time, it feels like my manager wants me and my team to be yes people for her. How do I deal with this? I've never been a yes person and I don't preach this to my reports. I don't know what to do. Help?

How do you deal with a line manager who is focused on saving the company money at the detriment of losing trust and running the risk of employees leaving?

I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. How do I recover from this?

I told my boss about my ADHD in confidence because I was looking for a small accommodation (working from home x2 a week). I got it, but now I lowkey feel like she told other people in the office.
