Kearney - #1 choice
But in case you really want to work in pharma or focused heavily on analytics - then ZS is a really good option.
AT Kearney for Ops, ZS for pharma or sales, RB for strategy in industrial industries. All of those have strengths and weaknesses in the US and none are well known outside of consulting circles (all are “tier 2”) - choose whichever strength or weakness matches what you want best.
Kearney any day.
Thanks boys
Rising Star
Kearney if you want supply chain/OPS
ZS for pharma
RB for everything else
Working at Kearney for 2 years now and never done any SC/OPS work, only pure strategy
Kearney any day in any region.
RB is not as strong as Kearney in the Middle
East.
Pro
Kearney and ZS are both quality firms, though anecdotally it is much more common for ZSers to go to Kearney than the other way around…take that for what it’s worth. I have never heard of RB in the US.
Think the answer here is clear that it’s Kearney for broader brand name and ZS if you care about pharma.
The only other times I’d suggest ZS is if you are interested in:
a) Data science and advanced analytics - we’re exponentially better here, and your exposure to analytical skills will be higher even outside of data science roles
b) Worklife balance relative to pay - it’s very easy to have a cushy role at ZS, and weekly travel barely exists. There’s no “up or out” policy so all things considered it’s one of the best overall firms in terms of comp relative to WLB in consulting (if not the best)
c) Earlier exposure to business development roles - for better or worse, ZS largely up-levels its roles compared to other firms. You have revenue expectations as a Manager and are expected to have heavy involvement in BD at the consultant (Associate equivalent) role.
Pro
Worked at ZS and also agree here
Kearney.
North America? Kearny hands down. Other markets, can’t say since I don’t know but RB is bigger there so it might change
If this is North America then it’s Kearney and it’s not even a debate
I’d personally go Kearney unless there’s a strong interest in healthcare. I’ve heard about 90% of projects are focused in healthcare at ZS
Kearny or ZS
Depends on what you want to do. Berger in general is fine but not highly specialized. ZS for all things pharma and Kearney has a stronger pure strategy line
In general, a simple metric to measure the value of a professional services firm does is to look at Rev / Employee. There is a MASSIVE difference between Kearney and others in the list. Quick search and you will get the answer.
Kearney >> ZS > RB in NAMR
Biased but of the options, Kearney. Are you in the US?
ZS easily. It’s the largest life sciences consultancy in the world. Where’s the question?
This haha
ZS for pharma / healthcare, Kearney for everything else
ZS
Nah go ATK
Kearney
Kearney lol
