Was impressed with See See recently…

like

Yeah the one on sandy? Decent for sure, good spot to work

like

In a charming downtown location next to the Park Blocks, Less and More provides chilled house drinks only and lattes made with Korean ingredients.

like

They do make hot beverages, too. I get hot cappuccinos all of the time.

I want to start working in coffee shops as a remote employee so I’m not home alone all the time

I have been somewhat disappointed by quality, space. hours and also they feel empty and I’m sorta alone again.

You guys wanna organize a coffee shop work day?

like

I was there for the Park Ave days. Have you only been Hudson yards or also park Ave?

Where is best coffee shop to do work

like

Roseline

I’m a huge coffee fan. Here’s some of my favs in no particular order:

Never coffee
Case study
Good coffee
Insomnia (more for chai honestly, but great work space)
Ovation (love the Moroccan cappuccino)
Sisters coffee
Jim and patty’s
Proud Mary
Prince coffee

like

You live in the pearl? Haha these are my go to spots

Case Study for the work environment. Sisters coffee for the coffee

I can hear the rumble of thousands of Portlanders running to comment that their place is the best...people are serious about coffee around here. I love Good Coffee on 12th Ave, but I don't know if I'm brave enough to say it's the best in the city.

like

The vibes there are 👌

I like cappuccinos and flat whites.

I used to love the little Spella Caffe on 5th Ave, but I believe they closed during covid.

I have found refuge at J Vein Caffe, a shop run by a wonderful Spella alum who is a master in espresso pulls and microfoam.

like

Spella the cafe is gone, but they still roast and several restaurants use them. You can also buy online, but obviously you’d have to make it yourself…

Interested!

Cathedral Coffee offers a huge selection of single-origin roasts that are focused on quality. I frequently visit there because I enjoy the atmosphere.

like

Push X Pull is a micro-roaster on Southeast Stark that offers a wide variety of coffee and non-coffee beverages for everyone with a focus on roasting beans as freshly as possible.

like

Love them!

Go to Roseline Coffee. It has won praise from professionals in the industry for its careful light roasting methods and sourcing of premium green coffee.

like

+1 it’s my fave

I purchased a (relatively) inexpensive breville espresso machine during the pandemic, and have been making at home. My favorite local roasters are heart and water ave.

like

When I lived in Portland I loved Stumptown for straight up black coffee.

like

I'm on a mission to try out as many different coffee shops as possible in 2023, but Courier and Case Study are two of my favorites so far. The beauty of Portland and the PNW is the amount of funky coffee shops to try.

Lots of good options, I’ve been really liking Fetch Coffee Roasters in Sellwood lately.

#1 thing I look for is a roasting machine in the shop. If I can’t see the machine then I’m always skeptical about freshness and attention to quality.

I used to be a huge fan of water avenue but they moved roasting offsite so that they could produce a more commercial sized quantity and IMO quality went way down.

Tov Coffee and Tea in SE Hawthorne Boulevard. Been there couple of times. I have tried many other coffee shops but so far the best tasting is Tov. You should try it.

What’s the vibe in there?

like

Y'all are gonna hate me for this but some of the best coffee I've found is available at the grocery store

This is so east coast of you

Simply put, Sisters is a feel-good coffee business, and its flagship roastery makes for a worthwhile pit stop on the route between Portland and Bend.

Saint Simon Coffee Company! They have tasty pastries too!
