Citi - SVP Salary Expectations for Tech / Controls
Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

It is! Southwest is the best airline in so many ways
And because bags are checked free everyone isn't trying to bring their bags on board which makes it easy to find space in bins and also helps boarding and deboarding take significantly less time
Lots of infrequent travelers being annoying and no assigned seats has kept me away for years
If you use it enough to get Companion Pass, it blows away any other rewards program. "For the poors" - you're an ass.
The thing is I actually end up with a better seat on SW than I ever do on the 3 shitty airlines. Plus people don't walk around acting like they own the plane just because they have status. R passengers and especially the staff are far friendlier and more pleasant.
You're a consultant, you don't get to call normal people poor. You aren't shit.
If Southwest flew to Europe and Australia I would use them.
For those of you calling other people peasants and the poors, go fuck yourselves. I hope you never get laid off and find yourself without your precious status. People like you are the reason consultants are seen as pretentious know nothing jackasses.
And 2 free checked bags and no change fees 👌
It's for the poors
People applaud landings on that airline, nuff said.
Full of peasants, no business class, shitty airports, no lounges, bad travel times (in my case at least), no international travel.
I fly southwest all the time and when I have to rough it on delta, united, or god forbid American I'm always so appalled how long it takes for boarding and getting off the plane and also how pissy everyone is

Statistically speaking we're very wealthy 🙃
I fucking love southwest. Period.
Only fishbowl can take an innocent question about an airline and turn it into a ridiculous rich vs poor thread....enough is enough, as conconsultants we're certainly overpaid for the value we deliver to society..but get real people.. most of us aren't making "FU money".....not even close....so why pretend? You get to act like a douche bc you got an upgrade to First class that you didn't pay for... lol

If you don't travel much, Southwest is probably alright. If you are a weekly traveller, Southwest is a horrible option. No lounge, no first class, limited to zero international options, bogus check-in, poor response to disrupted travel, middle of the regarding reliabilty, SW gates at some airports don't have precheck lanes...it goes on and on. I've been Diamond on Delta for the last four years and have zero complaints. High status on one of the legacy carriers blows SW out of the water. Stick to one airline best suited to your home base and avoid SW.
I find the boarding process is much faster. After flying SW for a long time, I couldn't believe how long it takes to board an AA flight. Regarding airports, LUV and HOU are awesome and very clean
Their business model is also the envy of many other consumer-focused organizations. All their planes are the same...which means turnaround is standardized and very efficient. Non hub and spoke model means cheaper fares to non-major airports, and the seat-yourself model ends up being way faster and less operationally burdensome than other airlines. All of that ends up saving money for conaumers.
Front of the cattle line and a drink ticket 🙃
