Partner Interview (6th interview).
Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.
11 YOFE
He does have a wide skill set and the
recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is
qualified for).Deloitte

Easier to be a coward in most cases. There may be something else at play however. Hard to say, just move on to the next! Don’t waste ur time pondering.
I know it wouldn’t be such a big deal to me if I didn’t have to rely so much on my commission for my livelihood. I’m just frustrated at the energy put in by me when they just aren’t upfront.
Just deflection, they don't want to be honest so they'd rather just give you some random excuse. I don't get either personally, but I see it happen a LOT and it sucks
It does :/
They often give that excuse not to hurt your feelings but end up hurting your feelings even more because you found out they lied to you and you wasted so much of your time and effort believing that you have a good chance of joining the company.
I think this is honestly what it comes down to…
How long after did they post the role?
I would just follow up. What’s the worst that can happen?
Could be but it just gets old after a while. I get no one cares that recruiters get paid sometimes less than a server because basically it’s the same model where companies pay us a low base then we are responsible for our own commission. But when managers lie, ghost or just ignore our attempts to get clarification AFTER saying they’re interested in working together and getting a partnership established, it hurts us badly. We spend time and effort engaging with them when they don’t have any intentions or aren’t up front with their intentions. I could be putting energy into a company that actually wants to work together..
We are trying to hire internal first. It was mandated for all of 2023. We have to get special approval to open a requisition to external candidates. I have some external reqs. Because they are for a specific client and contractual agreement.
Wasn’t apart of my livelihood.
Was it just a post on LinkedIn sharing the opening? My ATS does that automatically, I don’t even know what role I’d being posted when.
I’m more so just frustrated with the fact this happens. I’m still making moves with other people.
