My LM is so keen on small small things, not related to coding but documentation and all. Atleast once in a week I'm committing mistakes on small documentation points n he is stressing on same. Are there any chances that my probation will not be extended or is it a clue for me from my LM. He is Looping his LM and asking questions/clarifications.

It’s the same to manager 5yrs. Senior is really not that important in the long run. Just learn your job well
Not the same for everyone, takes 2 years in my tax group, sometimes 1.5.
And senior to manager is another 2. So four years total to manager is not bad.

Note PwC still operates on: promote when ready. 2 years is the earliest you can get promoted if you demonstrate readiness under the new scheme. This change only is to make it less of a hurdle to petition for “early promo” when people have demonstrated they are ready. Most people are expected to get promoted at 2 - 2.5 years
Made SM in six years: one year to senior, two to manager, three to SM.
Hasn’t made any difference on exit opportunities. They look for years of experience, not job title
