What is average salary for P4 in LTI ?
Cogno AI Hey fishes, One of my friends, got offer in cognizant. She have an epfo account with inactive UAN and she changed her name in aadhar recently and this epfo account has the past name. So she raised request for name change 2 months ago and still it's processing. And now cognizant asking the acknowledgement of changed name which the previous company cannot provide for obvious reasons. Will it affect the doj? Or anyone had this kind of problem before? Supply and demand per capita just like any market. You do realize the US is the largest economy on earth and has 12x the economy and population of Canada right? Not sure why Canadians think they deserve the same salary as if it's just another state or something.
😂 Latin America better than Canada? Yeah right.
Yeah. I am l so curious why this is . I was offered a role in Toronto, similar to the one i currently have in Ireland. the pay gap is huge. its roughly 50k CAD in Canada vs 90 k CAD in Ireland. :D but why :D :D
50k has nothing to do with supply and demand....it is exploitation
Becuase Canadian companies have no incentive to.oay higher. Industries are oligopolistic with pricing that moves in lock-step across companies. No company competes , either for customers or for employees. In such an environment, money is sent back tomshare holders via dividends and cushy executive bonuses. Just take a look at Canadian offices....corner offices...huge desks...Canadians just like being stable and reaping the status quo and logging off at 4PM. See how unusually big dividends the big Canadian employers pay out. The worker class is also faced with the problem of excessive labour supply in the market. Being a VP and above level at Canadian companies is the best job in the world, you really don't need a strategy, you just do what your competitor is doing and everybody just copies the Americans anyway .....the joke is "Canadian corporate strategy is developed by Corporate America"
It's the Americans who like to compete and achieve and therefore, will pass on value to customers and employees by way of competitive pricing and higher salaries.
It's just the Canadian culture.
Awesome answer, you earned my complete respect and I totally agree.
Need to develop a strategy to reap this status quo now.
Here’s an idea. If you don’t like it - leave. No one is forcing you to stay in Canada.
SVP1 with the classic .."hurr..durr....you no agree with me....get out of my face..leave my country...."
I want to paste this from a blog post which I completely agree:
Canada may have record population growth but what happens if immigrants see the mass exodus of citizens? Statistics Canada (Stat Can) data shows Q3 2023 emigration, or reverse immigration, surged to an unusually high level. Canadians fled the country for a new home in such a large number, a 3 month outflow has only been larger 3 times in the past century. Yikes.
Canadians Are Fleeing At An Unusually Rapid Rate
Canada is set to have a banger of a year when it comes to resident outflows. There were 74,017 emigrants year to date (YTD), already hitting 79% of the total last year. The final quarter of 2023 can come in lower than the previous two years and still print one of the biggest years ever for outflows.
Canada’s outflows have largely been ignored since record population growth obfuscates it. Most policymakers would point to the net increase as reason to ignore the issue. However, this dismisses an important point that is beginning to surface—if the people most familiar with a country don’t see opportunity, how long can it attract immigrants?
In short, Canada is being run like a dodgy, fly-by-night credit card company. Its operators don’t really care about losing clients, as long as the inflow of new ones outpaces the old ones. At a certain point though, a reputation develops and turns into a warning for new clients. Canada may have reached that point, with study permit applications declining sharply, indicating future population growth won’t be so robust.
Here is some data not from a blog. https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/91f0015m/91f0015m2018001-eng.htm
Is it possible that the US companies make 2X as much revenue? Did you you look into how much companies make in US compared to Canada?
My hypothesis is: you can’t argue with stupid.
Good night sir.
I am curious what does “COL” mean in some of the comments?
