Got let go today. Re-structuring. There less than 3 months. They are offering me 1 week severance. Thoughts?

Has anyone made a mistake that prevented a deal from closing before? Did the partners blacklisted you from future deals? Did you get fired? So anxious and don’t know what to do…
I have a friend who unfortunately was just laid off as a bank teller. He has four years of experience, but has never done consulting. Is this something that he could try his hand at? Or do you think that he should have more experience or certifications under his belt first? Trying to see if he can start as a consultant.
Haven’t taken a nice vacation in a while. What’s a good place (domestic or international) to plan a 7-10 day trip? Like hiking, scenic views, diversity in food options, etc. Was thinking Torres Del Paine national park
Have you ever had a wonderful mentor (either male/ female /gender fluid) how do(did) you show your appreciation for them taking the time to guide you?
I’m a woman in my mid 20s and constantly face situations where people outside of cyber (still within the company) that I’m dealing with (older men in particular) who always push back against my cyber/technical recommendations even with managers cc’d. I studied, earned certs, and worked hard to get to where I am. Is it bc of my gender and age? In all honesty, I’ve written recommendations that male counterparts voiced in the past that had ZERO pushbacks.
It’s 2020, are men still expected to pay on the first date or is it acceptable to split 50-50? Not trying to start a whole debate on modern gender dynamics, I just need practical advice.
Got laid off but found a job. Unfortunately I can’t start for like 2 months. Any ideas on jobs I could do in the meantime? Can’t drive so no Uber. Willing to do minimum wage, anything will help
Laid off bc of lack of work, told I have a few weeks to find a new job BUT have been getting assigned new projects since then. Wtf do I do?
Is it wrong that I like when people leave or get fired? Not like I get joy from misfortune but I love the drama and scoop
Made my first big, client-facing mistake today. Almost made it a year without one, but alas. Embarrassed and nervous about fallout, especially in the time of layoffs. Say a little prayer for me.
Let’s hear some stories of adversity and overcoming challenges. Socioeconomic, race, gender, disability etc. Work or personal. I think we all need some inspiration that we can overcome, no matter what.
Anyone else have a lingering fear that they could be fired at any moment? I’ve received great performance reviews and my partner says I’m doing very well, but I don’t vibe with my colleagues as well as it seems others do.
So I love my fiance with all my heart. He's the most patient, caring, loving man. Our wedding is planned for some time end of next year. But he just got recently laid off and doubts started to creep in again. He has always worked, but always in a dead end kind of job. And this job was his first "professional" job and now that's out the window. While I trust in his potential, he's not dumb or anything. He's a bit slow (not very aggressive, quiet). I just keep climbing up the ladder so the gap is

What brokerage does Deloitte use for 401k?
Any experience applying for an I-539 to switch from an L1 to a tourist visa while still in the US? The embassy in my home country is closed for tourist visas so I’m worried once I leave I won’t be able to visit for years
I heard WK laid off 50 people this week ? Surely this can't be true . They're indepdent and can think long term
do any consulting firms in the US (MBB, Big 4) sponsor MBA programs outside of the country (e.g. London Business School, HEC Paris, INSEAD)
How stable is a tax role position in a new hedge fund that was started 2.5 years ago? Was told that they have 500 employees, have office worldwide. Considering a switch from the Big4 to this firm. But concerned on how stable the role is at these small new hedge fund.
Happy Cinco De Mayo! Did you know that it's NOT an important holiday in Mexico? The More You Know!
Hi European 🐠 My company is currently looking for IT architects and tech consultants (any level). We’re a boutique with a amazing team culture and really very interesting projects, great learning opportunities (aka we don’t get hired to take over tasks no one wants to do, we get hired to make a difference) + above average comp. Relocation is not necessary, as long as you’re in CET time zone and live close to an airport. DM me for more information! Cheers
What are the levels within the SA role/cohort at PwC? Does it go to SA3? Or only SA2? Can you get hired as an SA2/3 from another firm? Is $110k for SA2 or SA3 in Houston or ATL a reasonable ask?
Do you think flight attendants are being as whiny as consultants in relation to work travel and the corona virus?
Just got accepted as a Senior Consultant @ Capgemini Philippines! Is this a lead position? I am a support engineer. Capgemini
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Does anyone go to AA meeting while on the road? It would make life so much better for me if I could go, but I always feel like there isn’t time or I’m at the client too late
I’m so sick of people only saying they’ll help. I don’t care if you can’t actually help, just don’t say it in the first place.
Hi all! Looking for advice! Im starting at an MBB out of undergrad (interned at D). Met my cohort and coworkers tonight at happy hour. Everyone’s super nice but I can’t help but feel drained. A partner probably noticed that I was nervous and actually pulled me aside to tell me it’s ok etc. I’m obv grateful for the opportunity but just worried i will be seen as too introverted or not confident enough and be a problem in front of clients. My MBTI type is also “not consultant-y”. Any advice? TIA!
My wife got laid off by her employer a couple weeks ago but her severance package is for 3 months. It would be as if she was still employed until May. Should I report this as a life event now or wait?
What's the best way to get from LGA Terminal B to Manhattan now that Uber is banned from entering arrivals?
Best examples of ramp back programs from parental leave? I get to choose my own adventure and am curious what’s worked well for others. Minimum hours required hasn’t been stipulated. Thanks!
WHAT’S WORSE? -A pushy director or your producer / spineless creatives afraid to ruffle said director’s feathers? Sick of my team going through the (wrong) motions to appease a tyrannic director
On the bench for the first time in a while. So happy I'm not waking up at 4:40 a.m. Good luck to the rest of you flying out tomorrow! I'm going to sit naked in my bed and build a few decks.
