Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

Just curious, what could a OB possibly up-sell? Seriously not trying to be funny. Just want to know what my wife and I missed out on during the pregnancies of our two children.
Dang, guess they just got a new machine and behind on paying it off? Lol
All the doctors I have met in last 10 years in manhattan are scammers trying to rob you of the last cent they can.
When wife was pregnant, used the same old tactic. Scare you first and then upsell you. Ofcourse as first timers we had no clue that these 'con artists' were doing this to us
Obgyn on the park...212 410 6700. Used for our 2 children. Excellent practice with privileges at Mt Sinai. They require cash payment, but our insurance reimbursed most of the cost. They handle the submissions to insurance carrier.
Ultrasounds every 2 weeks
Is she high risk? If your insurance covers it, take it. My wife was high risk due to her age (almost 40 at time of birth), and we had a whole slew of extra stuff, but insurance covered it all, so we really liked having consistent updates and knowing that everything was progressing well
No she isn’t. She is 30. Insurance doesn’t cover it. But the bigger worry is safety. We find unnecessary exposure to ultrasounds a bit troubling.
Yeah, agree. My wife went to Spring OB/Gyn in Soho. Upsells were only a genetic screen (we did it, wouldn't do it if we did it over) and the nuchal translucency test (we didn't care to know). Other than that, they're pretty laid back and professional.
My wife is 31 weeks pregnant. Only did ultrasound couple of times far as I know. We even asked the OB whether we needed to do more frequently and she said it’s all standard given normal condition.
2 kids here, remember only limited ultrasounds. Something doesn’t add up.
As long as it's paid for by insurance and doesn't increase risk, no problem there. It's the electives and overuse of ultrasounds, etc., that drive me crazy. SIL is being seen at a Mayo Clinic community hospital. They had an 8 week and a 20 week ultrasound. No nuchal translucency scan/blood test. My wife's theory is that in NYC, people tend to want to control every aspect of their pregnancy. From timing to risk management, to ensuring that they have the perfect baby on their own terms. And that, she felt, drove the overemphasis on tests and diagnostics. Mid pregnancy we moved to the Midwest, and the experience here was worlds better. Decided to go with a birth center, and they were very no-nonsense and didn't recommend anything not absolutely necessary. Granted, they also prescreen for high risk pregnancy, so they know the pregnancy is likely to progress normally and not require a lot of intervention.
I recommend Dr Anna Kremer at Mount Sinai. The biggest thing is to pick a doctor who admits to the hospital you want to deliver at. Mount Sinai isn’t perfect but we would definitely deliver there again.
