I don't :')
That’s what I was afraid of 😭😂
I’m bad at being consistent but workouts are easiest in the mornings before work. Nobody I work with is even awake then but everyone’s working at night.
I have found that early morning workouts are the only way to (usually) guarantee that you won’t feel bothered or rushed. I wake up at 6 and usually workout from 6:30 to 8:00 AM
I’m not a morning person so I stop work around 6 and head to the gym. Have a small group that I strength train with, and then a personal trainer on weekends.
The accountability keeps me going and the exercise has a dramatic effect on my mental health, so that has made it easy to create a ritual.
But I started out slow. At first I just tried to go once a week. I tried to keep it simple and attainable so I could build up a routine without feeling discouraged.
Morning workouts that I block off on my calendar so meetings are less likely to be scheduled during that time. And if things shake up my schedule, I try to be flexible and fit in a workout later in the day.
Another big key, especially in our jobs, is to eat well. Eating is the majority of staying healthy anyway. Even if you had hours to work out every day, it’s difficult to work off excess calories.
Just make time for it. It’s just a job at the end of the day, not some impossible task. I take an hour or two to workout, usually in the 6-8 zone. Then I hop on my laptop for an hour or so from home to send final emails. Nobody really cares in my group at least since they know I workout a lot.
Pre 7 AM workouts are largely the only sustainable practice. I say this because the BL attorneys that I know that STAY fit, ALL do it before starting the day. Me included.
I had this same issue- working out + the hassle of getting ready took too much time from my morning when I could’ve been sleeping. I usually do 6pm-7/7:30pm workouts since it’s “dinner time”, then can just shower and hop back online. Don’t have to make time to get ready. More sustainable for me.
I have an 8:30 PM alarm that says to go to the gym. It’s exhausting but it’s been motivational enough to spend an hour. No billables are lost at that time.

I work out at lunch break. I have it blocked in my calendar every day so people don’t schedule meeting during that hour. I am of course flexible if anything is time sensitive
Orange theory 7 am three times a week. The key is to find a workout you enjoy in an area convenient to you and pick a time block in which you’re less likely to receive any interruptions. I live/work close to the studio so I also get back home quickly and get started on work. Good luck!
I use classpass. I just book a class 3/4x a week around 5/6pm and block it off on my calendar. It’s worked for me to just stick to thsi
