I will most likely quit unless I can get on a local project. The traveling fucking blows and it sucks that I live in a cool metro area but can only enjoy it barely half the week. Basically I was an analyst at Accenture, switched to EY as a Staff 2 but because of the practice I'm in, I may or may not make promotion next year. Is it worth quitting if I don't like the travel? Please give me reasoning as to why I should stay because I am young and want to do the best for my career.
I disagree with the above - after 2 years people may start to wonder why you haven’t been promoted
I agree. ^ it’s fine to look for new jobs now, but also try and get the promo this will set you up for better salaries and opportunities
Great to hear! So the promotion is not necessary, I just need to make sure I'm learning
Resume is not legal. I have seen lot of them coming up with their own roles that doesn’t exist in their org
It’s a lot of jumping around, but if you have good reasons, explore the market and see what your options are.
You’re young and already ahead of most of your peers. My vote is to find a job that makes you happy and fulfilled now, the money/prestige will follow later. In 5-10 years, no one will care why you worked at two different firms in a two year span.
I'm definitely shooting for the promo and probably will not look into quitting until around November 2019
