Which one we get money loaded ? Will that only usable in Bofa cafeteria!

Just received an email from compliance that Wealthfront should be labeled as a brokerage account and needs to be closed. Anyone know how to work around this? Using it just for the cash savings account

I'm a Canadian on the TN visa working in the US and planning on maxing my Roth IRA (6k) and will have enough left to max my 401k this year, but am not sure if I should just use a taxable account over 401k due to tax considerations when I move back to Canada (likely 1-2 years from now). Any thoughts here? I don't think I'll have enough RRSP room to move 401k>IRA>RRSP and I would prefer to not have to file US taxes every year in retirement for withdrawls if I left the 401k in the US.

I had 50% in VT and 50% in individual stocks in my brokerage account but I just accepted a job from a Big 4 so I need to sell some of my individual stocks. I need to invest that amount in something else and I want to tell my portfolio a little bit towards something that’s a bit more risky for higher potential returns. I’m maxing out my 401K, traditional IRA and HSA this year and paying for some house improvements. I have about $750K total investments and very close to $2M net worth, but realize that I am behind on investments if I want to do FIRE. I was focused on paying off huge chunks of my mortgage and managed to whittle it down to $75K left. Would you suggest I go ahead and pay that off this year? Or pause and do a mega back door roth instead? I’m mid 40s. Thanks!

Recently put an offer down on a home. Given the market, had to waive the appraisal contingency. The appraiser’s report came back with a significant shortfall. We can cover it but want to push back on the appraiser since there appear to be numerous inconsistencies in the report. Anyone dealt with this experience before? Any tips?
