With the spg/marriott merger, do award stays count towards elite status?

Hi ladies. Looking for some advice. My lease is up soon (in a few weeks); and I’m considering just giving it up instead of renewing and moving in with my parents for a while. I’m in a relationship that i think is coming to an end (we don’t live together) and I’ve been toying with the idea of just taking 3-4 months to travel. Maybe explore Europe. Have to make the decision soon. Any advice or has anyone been thinking like this?

Parents who have or have had a baby. How was the first year or two for you? Was it awesome, was it terrible, did it change your relationship with your partner? Did you regret it, did you want out?
