With the US layoffs behind us and the India team facing approx 15% reduction in just three days, the anxiety across the floor is palpable. It’s disappointing to see leadership continue with "business as usual"—stacking daily meetings and increasing task loads without acknowledging the emotional toll on the team. We are humans, not just headcount metrics. A little respect for the current mental state of the employees would go a long way right now.

I was informed today that my employment would be terminated at a tier-2 consulting firm in Toronto. The reasons for my dismissal are unclear and I would like to get legal advice on the termination agreement and severance package that was offered. Is it just me or do 90% of the jobs being laid off by big tech sound made up? Many job descriptions with multiple bullet points that all kinda revolve around the same idea.
