Hi everyone, I am 4.9 years experienced , I joined Fractal 3 months ago as a data engineer, but still haven't got any project. Process is so slow that I have received only 4 to 5 project calls. I switched in hopes that will learn the new tech and tools. But now i am starting to forget even the one i knew. Should i go for change or wait a little more time as fractal is reputed in AI/ML? I have interview lined up with Impetus as for now. Would it be better choice?

Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

I block my calendar during the day and do things for myself.
As others have mentioned, you just have to adapt your schedule to work within those boundaries. I often have clients on the East and West Coast US, and so at times I’m getting up at 5:00 for 8:00 East Coast meetings, then taking some downtime in the middle of the day, and picking up again in the later day through the evening. I travel back and forth, so then that schedule adjusts on the other side. And this all fluctuates based on client needs, so it can be daunting. It helps that most of my work is remote coding, so I’m less dependent on other folks’ schedules. Also, this is where the concept of ‘core hours’ can get interesting.
You’re an exempt salaried employee, not an hourly wage worker.
Neither. You chose consulting. Choice is still yours.
Joining consulting and expecting to work 40hrs was your first mistake. Anyway, draw your boundaries and don’t let others cross them. Nobody can _make_ you do anything. Hopefully you’re a high performer though, otherwise that mentality might get you canned

Take naps during the day.
Block for a morning break- can go for a walk if you’re remote which if they’re global you are in calls and not in person- block for lunch- block in the afternoon. Disconnect when you take a break, play a game, hang out with your pet if you have one, call a family member.
Yeah I’m retiring to solve that problem!

Hourly worker here and same. I usually make up for it by taking a 2 hour lunch and being remote I can get away with a lot during downtime.

You on my project? I just stopped joining the 7pm calls, staff it appropriately or incentivize me
