What are your book recommendations?
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
Looking for some book recommendations :)

Your miles will be fine.
The airlines spent 45 billion over the past few years buying back their stock and they had the audacity to ask for 50 billion in bailout money. Just like mismanaged big banks in 2008-2009, airlines have achieved too-big-to-fail level. They'll be fine.
Even if they go bankrupt, it will be well deserved and will be an opportunity for better management to come in, buy the company, and put in management that will run the company better.
Your miles will get devalued long term either way 🤷🏻♂️. Keep/convert miles at the airline only when you're about to buy an award ticket.
EDIT: Don't think you can convert miles to credit card points. Usually it's the other way.

Got it yup, good point on institutional investors
I’d be surprised if you can move miles to AMEX points or other credit card programs, usually it’s the other direction only. You might have to choose another transfer partner, but beware a massive loss of value as sometimes happens with those kinds of transfers.
Historically in the US at least airlines have gone through bankruptcy reorganization which has preserved miles as continued customer loyalty has been key to the bankruptcy exit business plan. If they were to liquidate and not merge with anyone, only then are you likely to lose miles. For non-US carriers, liquidation risk tends to be higher as insolvency laws tend to provide fewer options for a failed business to restructure.
