Worth getting iPad Pro if we travel often? Figure we can use it for second monitor activities as well. Opinions?

Yes. Highly recommended. I have been doing it for over an year now. Can't imagine doing interviews/meetings without one now

like

What do you use it for in interviews/meetings ? Also is it worth getting the pro version?

Forgot to mention that it holds true only if u fork the additional 100 bucks for the pencil.

BTW, the Samsung tablet is way way better, but I was swayed by the marketing of the iPad when it came out

like

Note taking, document review, snagging relevant articles when collating research. I have also hooked it to projectors and shown hand drawn stuff to clients in rooms without a whiteboard or in remote meetings.

Apple makes it harder to share the screen in some situations, but there is an app for it.

like

Also, a Samsung Galaxy tab is not supported by the firm for email. That was probably another reason beyond my gullibility 😉

If it’s a personal iPad can we still get Deloitte email on it?

like

I can’t get outlook Deloitte email on a galaxy tablet?

Nope. Sorry. For a firm that helps others with Cyber security, our IT team can't figure this shit out

So I can’t only get Deloitte email on an iPad?thanks D1 :)

You're welcome

So then the final question. Is it worth getting the newer iPad over an older version. Why would I need the pro ?

Pencil works on pro only. Doesn't matter if it is the new gen or first gen iPad pro. Same apps and no noticable difference

Definitely

I use my iPad Pro all the time. Tried the pencil and notes.. but i havent found a great way to keep them- yet. But it’s great to have to run other things...

D3 - my understanding is that there is no Deloitte paid for iPads.

D3 - Yes

Planning a trip with 1 day in Philadelphia and 3-4 days NYC. What would make the most logistical sense for travel (where to fly in, stay, fly out, etc)?

Would it make sense to fly into Philly, stay the night, take train to NYC, fly out from there? Or just stay in NYC and do a day trip to Philly?
