McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?
Hi all, Recently i interviewed at Adobe for the post of computer scientist, Noida location. Had 5 technical rounds, but after that i didnt get any further response. One of HR called me and asked me to wait for a day or 2 last week, she gave me the reason that there are some issues going on in company. It's been 2 weeks now and i haven't got any response from them, i have been following up on mail and call, but there is no response either. What could be the reason ?? Any adobe folk out there ??

You’ll have to explain that you weren’t in treatment for drugs but yea, if you get 20% I’d plan on being there 24 months then finding the next great thing.
Wait, what?
I work at Guidehouse. One thing to note is that they are PE owned so just be aware that we'll be getting sold again at some undetermined point in the future.
What sector? I think if you like the team you should be fine
Do you want to stay in consulting? If yes, then go for it! If no, try your luck in an industry role. Deloitte’s name is a bit more recognizable than Guidehouse- strike the iron while it’s hot.
Any reason to leave Deloitte, just go for it. I never liked work life balance with Deloitte
I didn’t realize this isn’t the Deloitte bowl LOL my bad
DO NOT COME HERE
A lot of people very strongly seem to hate working here
I did. I don’t put emphasis on the title or brand. I’m my own brand. And I got mouths to feed
I don’t think so personally. I turned down a boutique at 37% increase because I don’t want to do consulting and I might as well exit on the brand name

Congrats!
Is that true though? Hours are dependent on the project. I’m sure GH has their flaming hot piles of garbage projects as we do.
Seconded.
Nah
You’ll have much better hours. Do you have a family?
I’d leave for guidehouse —- but not before bonus payouts. It’s not worth giving that uo
In all honesty, I’d be hoping for more money to make the move due to the loss in reputation. Frankly, no one knows who GH is due to our poor external branding. The firm is very team-dependent (read: silo-d) and while some are great, the experience on others is extremely lacking. Training and internal resources are negligible. Unless we offer a specific focus area you’re struggling to find at Deloitte, I’d think twice about accepting your current offer.
That my initial reaction was “what culture” instead of “it’s not toxic” hopefully says all you need to know. 🥲
Whichever route you take, best of luck on the path!
At the SC level, if you are not in line for promotion at D, I would jump. If you have a strong network and chance for growth at D, I would not leave for a 15-20% increase.
What sector at GH would you join?
Yes, this is very important. The different sectors are very different and it’s nearly impossible to move between them, so make sure you land where you want to be. Some of them seem like positive places to work, and some of them I would avoid.
