Would it be wrong if I was to expense CPA exam if I’m leaving the firm this Friday? I worked for 2 years and I’m leaving for personal obligation but still will be pursuing CPA

I’d read the actual policy though - if it doesn’t say anything about expensing them and then leaving the firm I’d probably go for it

like

If Pwc policy is that you can expense then technically you could. Any expenses not approved is ultimately your responsibility

like

Expense everything per firm policy. Look around on kcurve or whatever the other one is (I forget bc I’ve been de-programming myself from PwC).

Run it through baby!

like

I don’t think that the policy is intended to reimburse people for exams that they are taking when they don’t work for PwC.

Hah! Expense denied. Not a chance lol, but nice try

Could go either way

Advice: my firm incentivized associates to get licensed in fed courts - 4 fed courts for a 5k raise. They also covered the admission fee. I just accepted an offer with another firm and will be putting in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow. Is it wrong to submit an expense report for the charges I incurred related to the fed court admission fees? I didn’t plan on moving to another firm; the new firm sought me out and made me an offer - the process happened so fast. I want to be professional about this.

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I'd like to keep my current job part-time but get back in a lawfirm too.
