I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

I think I am a good comparator. In media/entertainment, 13 YOE, VP-level in HCOL area. Base is $280k base, 30% bonus target, 50% RSU target. Hope that helps.
This is great context, thank you! If you don’t mind me asking, were your raises consistently like COL (like 3-5%), or did you start with a TC that was that high?
Did you start in house?
That feels light. Are you at a smallish private company?
I think it’s mid range honestly. There is better for sure and definitely less. Mine is similar to yours and I have more experience. Like others mentioned, I don’t get RSUs either. Im looking but many of the salaries and jobs aren’t great.
Agreed. I don’t think this is that low.

Slightly on the low end. Your base is solid. You bonus is roughly 20%, which is about normal. The equity is the problem. If you received 15%-20% in equity, vesting 2-3 year, then you would be is a great position IMO.

Thanks! This is helpful context. Company doesn’t award equity so I’m kinda SOL on that front

No equity?
I’m in the beverage industry, 7 YOE, $200k base with 40% bonus. Great WLB, MCOL city. No equity. Feels like we aren’t far off for a 2 year gap but I’d think that Tech/Media would pay more than consumer goods
