If the pay was good and I liked the culture there, I would. Can’t help it when a company goes through some restructuring especially during covid.

How did ACN know about COVID in 2019???

Haha dear god. Yes 2020. Honestly that entire time is a fuzz to me.
With the current economy? No way.
Economy will be even in all likelihood. Q1 2024 is looking like the comeback szn
Talk to your old SM/MD. Sounds like you have rapport and could ask questions around job security/how they plan to handle an economic downturn. See what kind of projects are available, etc etc.

If take it if more money.
So are you coming back at a higher level than you left? Am I understanding that right? If so and you have a really nice pay bump and you liked working with your old mentor then not too many downsides. Just view it as any new job when evaluating $$$/benefits/progression.

Yeah I was laid off as a C1 (L9). Offer would be to come back at a M2 (L7). I’m now in a different city so pay is TBD but I’m assuming like 170-180k.
I went back to the company that laid me off during Covid. I was happy to. I left after a year but am still grateful for the opportunities I had while I was there both times.
