Depends on the career.
It depends on what you're going for. If you're going for a career in the medical, political, or law fields than yes it is necessary. For creative fields, I think it would be best to just use that time to get internships.
Would you say its easy to get internships without a degree?
I guess it depends on the field you're looking to enter. Generally speaking, I'd say yes, but there are some fields where enough relevant work experience might be able to make up for not having a college degree.
Maybe not to get a job in many fields but advancing in those fields to higher level positions, this is where a degree is important! Many jobs won’t look at an applicant that doesn’t have a degree unless they had extraordinary references or had worked their way up in the same organization!
Lots of people make a lot of money without. I feel like a degree gives you more job stability (unless it’s a garbage degree).
Fair point!
I mean I am sure it depends on your career goals but in my field I have to have a four years bachelors and at least master degree to break in
Same here. Was curious about others tbh!
